About Hunting in Nebraska

The diversity of Nebraska’s hunting opportunities is very hard to exaggerate. There are many big games here from whitel deer to even Wild turkey. There are many upland birds too including more common species which is why referring to Nebraska as the Mixed Bag capital . There are hunting opportunities far and wide.

With the layout of the state the way that it is different helps hide the treasures that live in our backyard under the stars each night. Get up close and personal with all that this land has nourished and brought to life , so we can continue the cycle under the great plains of Nebraska Country!

Right now health and safety is most important to our volunteer instructors and the public is our highest priority.

Nebraska will be closing the courses including the apprentice exemption certificate, we encourage the use of these options. Successful completion is required for Nebraska hunters aged 12 through 29 who hunt with firearms or air guns. Certification options range from 10 and under all the way to 30 and older, a class, permit , license and accompaniment while in the field is required for all to successfully grasp the concepts that hunting in the great outdoors truly calls for.
